Dr. Garry L. Feldman is a licensed clinical psychologist with more than 50 years of experience in psychotherapy, clinical hypnosis, stress and pain management, and the treatment of trauma‑related and dissociative disorders. He has maintained an independent practice in El Paso since 1985 and serves as a consultant to medical groups, hospice services, and multiple law‑enforcement agencies. Since 2008, he has completed thousands of VA disability evaluations for veterans, specializing in mental health and PTSD assessments. Dr. Feldman has also held leadership roles in hospitals and mental health centers and taught at several universities, including Texas Tech University Medical School.

Born of Russian, Romanian and Polish ancestors, I am the oldest son of the oldest son of Ben Feldman who, of The Tribe of Levi, continued in the family’s rabbinical tradition. Yet, his training was shortened as he was fortunate to escape Russia (Stalin) while in rabbinical school. My father was not fond of organized religious doctrines and perceived hypocrisies. I was then left to find my own truth. I was liberated and did not know it.

 

Most fortunately and haphazardly at times, I came to realize the truths of many paths up the mountain. I’ve been blessed with spiritual and metaphysical teachers of the Yogic, Jain and SuFi Healing Order traditions among others, even being initiated into several traditions.

 

I have expanded my awareness with exposure to various Judeo-Christian groups and teachings. I have journeyed into metaphysical/spiritual practices including sweat lodges and other rituals.

 

I come today with just a bit of distillation from my humble journey. Glad to be home and to share our light.
